Konjunktiv II: als ob, irreale Wünsche, Ratschläge

INTRODUCTION

You have seen Konjunktiv II in polite requests and unreal conditional sentences (Wenn ich reich wäre, …). In B2, three more uses become important: an unreal comparison ('as if …'), unfulfilled wishes ('if only …'), and giving advice ('If I were you …'). These give you natural and mature language in both speaking and written exams.
